With more than a touch of tropical fruits, there's this singing peach note that comes to the forefront, surrounded by hints of dried pineapple and fresh mango. The palate is lean and lemon-forward but then that note falls away as fresh pineapple and gooseberry show up to the party. There's a good depth to the fruit and the finish is lingering with a little touch of white pepper. For an under $18 bottle of wine this is amazingly delicious, I could easily finish the bottle and might even be reaching for another one, it's that quaffable, and at 13% won't be killing me in the morning... as long as I didn't finish that second bottle.
