Sourced primarily from two exceptional sites, Halley’s Comet Pinot Noir is nothing short of a reward—a hedonistic expression of Pinot Noir, decadent as crème brûlée and molten chocolate cake. The nose bursts with crushed cacao nibs, toasted marshmallows, and vibrant cherry compote, all wrapped in an aura of rose petals and dark forest fruits. On the palate, the wine shows off its lavishness with layers of ripe plum, blackberry, and an unexpected yet delightful streak of cranberry, livened by fresh raspberry and hints of wild strawberry. Beneath all that richness, there’s a deep backbone of racy acidity, balancing out the unctuous fruit with just the right amount of tension. Black tea tannins lend depth and structure, with notes of black liquorice, clove, and even a touch of earthiness from freshly turned soil. This wine has a seductive length—a finish that seems to stretch into infinity. Decadent, rich, rich—yet fun, playful, and irresistible.
