The Jacourette vineyards lie beneath the shadow of the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, one of the most striking landmarks in the South of France. Over millennia, the mountain—composed primarily of limestone—has eroded into the surrounding soils, creating the perfect conditions for crafting mineral-driven, Provencal rosé wines. Now in our tenth vintage working with vigneronne Hélène Dragon, we’ve seen her winemaking style evolve year after year. This wine leans even more into the purity of thatminerality, resulting in a bright, tense rosé that showcases classic notes of pear, blood orange, and subtle hints of strawberry. A light tropical nuance balances the wine’s crisp acidity, derived from the calcareous soils. It’s a refreshing, lively expression of Provence—an absolute standout for those who prefer a vibrant, dry style of rosé.

Really nice pretty ripe and tropical nose, definitely highly aromatic with some high toned red fruit hiding underneath all that tropical ripeness. The palate is incredibly dry, with just a little touch of a bitter phenolic finish. This is super refreshing and exactly what you want when you think of a super crisp bottle of rosé. Really great line of acidity through the whole thing, and for just $16 this bottle absolutely smashes. This is the rosé you want if you like a little bit more fruit on the nose but you want something extremely dry and crisp, and with the little phenolic finish it would absolutely excel with food as well, anything light and summery.

Notes

Domaine Jacourette lies in the shadow of the Montagne-Ste-Victoire just east of Aix-en-Provence. Vigneron Helene Dragon took over winemaking duties more than two decades ago, and masterfully crafts one of our freshest and most sought after rosés year-after-year. The vines are planted at 300 meters of elevation atop decomposing limestone and clay - the most desirable soils in the region. Made primarily of Syrah and Grenache, a splash of Rolle (Vermentino) and Cinsault round out the profile. We once carried this as a private label under the name Vignoble Dragon but we are now able to bring it in under its original Domaine label.
