Review Date: 04/2025Succulent, playful and driven, this grenache shows poise and vivacity, offering cherries, strawberries, warm herbs and some baking spices. Full-bodied with fine tannins giving a seductive, silky texture with gentle red fruit. Richer, flavorful finish.

Notes
Chante Cigale means singing cicada. The property has been in the same family since the 19th century and is currently run by Alexandre Favier, who assumed the reins at the ripe old age of 20! The domaine is planted to 40 ha of red and 5 ha of white grapes on 45 different parcels throughout the appellation. The Vieilles Vignes is a selection of old vine plots with vines averaging 80-100 years of age. It is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre aged in a mix of concrete tank and large oak cask.
