The 2022 Pinot Noir includes 35-40% whole cluster and comes from a site Marine Layer splits with DuMOL. It pours a bright medium red color and lifts from the glass with notes of spiced blood orange, ripe red berries, wild herbs, and salty earth. It’s more linear and tension-driven on the palate, with more coiled fresh acidity, fine tannins, and a light iron-rich mineral lift on the finish. Drink 2025-2040.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Dutton Jentoft Vineyard is another terrific wine in this range. Nuances from Swan and Calera clones with a touch of stems all meld together in the glass. Jentoft is one of the great sites on the Sonoma Coast. Red-toned fruit, blood orange, pomegranate and spice open effortlessly. Floral overtones lift the finish.
