Champagne Bricout was founded in 1966 in Avize as a subsidiary of the German company Kupferberg. By 1990, it was among the top ten champagne houses, producing nearly three million bottles. In 1998, the Martin family acquired the brand, expanding its operations. However, financial difficulties led to its decline, and its vineyards were later absorbed by larger champagne producers.
