2023 Domaine Ostertag "Les Jardins" Riesling Alsace

The 2023 Riesling Les Jardins has a lot of fruit tones from its sandstone and clay influences because all of Le Berceau, which was not made in 2023, was added to Les Jardins, with additions from Clos Matis on granite. There is a floral creaminess here, almost like a shower of spring blossom, guelder rose petal and fresh, green apple notes. The palate is smooth, ripe and gentle, with a subtle, salty linearity that gives direction to its creaminess and pushes the freshness forward. This is a balanced, bone-dry Riesling. (Bone-dry) (AK)
