Reviewed February 2024A delicious, fruity, and also herbal version of carmenere, this comes from soils with a higher proportion of clay in an area like Marchigüe, which is rich in granitic soils. The texture is evident—ripe, round tannins, and flavors of ripe red fruits combine with notes of fresh herbs. The acidity is juicy, and the red-fruit finish invites you to continue drinking.

Grown on quartz soils, this is a very fine, elegant Carmenère that's blended with 5% Cabernet Franc for extra perfume and complexity. Subtly wooded in older oak, it's grassy and graceful, combining red cherry and capsicum flavours with top notes of wild herbs.
