Winemaker Ryan Alfaro's last pick every year, the 2022 Syrah Ryan Spencer Vineyard is made from a densely planted, high-yielding, high-vigor site less than four miles from the Pacific Ocean, with 2022 being a concentrated vintage. Entirely whole-cluster fermented, it is light, floral, and singing in sage and white pepper, the mouthfeel rounded and richly layered. The first vintage was 2020. This should age well and continue to be interesting through 2032.
