From vines that are over 50 years of age, this Hyland Gewürtztraminer is eclectic and delicious. Effusively aromatic as the variety demands, orange blossom, ginger and cardamom leap from the glass with a backing note of lemon oil. There is a balance of viscosity and freshness on the palate. Flavours of honeyed apricot, lemon drop candy, and brilliant Jamaican allspice make pronouncements about the calibre of these wines when they are produced from older vines in the Willamette Valley.
