This Cabernet was crafted by Robbie Meyer (formerly of Peter Michael, Aubert, and Lewis Cellars). Medium to full-bodied, it displays classic Cabernet herbaceousness that carries from the aromatics through to the finish. The palate reveals richer, darker berry fruit, fig paste, and kirsch, all framed by chalky tannins and dark chocolate-covered cherries on a lengthy finish. (JC)

Wine Advocate

Review Date: 10/2025
A mixture of slightly dusty earth and ripe blackberries appears on the nose of Twelfth Labour's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, the current release. It's full-bodied and concentrated but also supple and easy to drink, with a long, mouthwatering and softly tannic finish. If readers can track some down at anything close to the suggested retail price, it represents a great value. (JC)

Notes

Founded in 2016 by the late Tom Benson and his wife Gayle, winemaking at Twelfth Labour is helmed by Robbie Meyer, who began his career at Peter Michael Winery in 1998. Meyer went on to serve as winemaker at Lewis Cellars before launching his own label, Peirson Meyer.
