There is excellent Chablis typicity to the wafting and elegant nose of green apple, pear, crushed fennel, citrus, tidal pool and fresh oysters. Here too there is a succulent mouthfeel to the bigger-bodied though equally refined medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a bitter lemon, balanced and beautifully persistent finale. Like the Vaudésir, this shouldrepay up to a decade of keeping though I suspect it will be less approachable young.

The pleasant concentration of citrus and acacia-blossom aromas show a hint of spice and lead to an ethereal but not insubstantial texture. Despite the warmth of the vintage, there is a refreshing acidity here, enlivened by a just a bit of CO2 that helps carry the wine to a lingering finish. The grapes are from 0.20ha of Les Preuses; after gentle pressing and settling, the juice is fermented and aged on the lees for six months.(CC)

Along with "Les Clos" I find the "Preuses" vineyard to be the most beguiling of the Grand Crus. There's a refinement and purity found in Preuses that no other Grand Cru seems to consistently have. In the 2023 Seguinot-Bordet Preuses there's a clarity and structure to this wine coupled with delineated citrus notes buffered nicely by acidity and mineral accents. An absolutely wonderful Chablis Grand Cru for under $100 this is an incredible bargain.
