Weighing in at a mere 13.2% alcohol, the 2024 ‘Lytton estate’ is a gorgeous, vibrant new bottling by winemaker Shauna Rosenblum. A blend of mainly Grenache and Zinfandel, with a smaller amount of Cinsault blended in, this offers cantaloupe and white peach notes on the nose alongside shades of salted green apple and light strawberry notes. The 2024 Lytton Estate Rosé is a blend of 40% Grenache, 29% Zinfandel, 14% Cinsaut, 10% Counoise and 7% Mataro that fermented and matured for three months in stainless steel. It has a pale salmon-pink color and inviting aromas of peach, guava and raspberry with nuances of fresh herbs and spice. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with nuanced flavors. Its juicy acidity calls you back for another sip, and a touch of textural grip drives a long finish. Drink it over the next 3-5 years.
