Muriel Giudicelli’s vineyards are located in Patrimonio’s Campo Gallo sub-region, distinguished by its complex mosaic of soils, including green clay, red clay, granite, schist, and limestone, each contributing distinct characteristics to her wines. Her winemaking philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention, initially obtaining organic certification in 2006 and then biodynamic certification in 2012. In the cellar, she employs traditional, hands-off methods, utilizing indigenous yeasts and extended aging to produce expressive, authentic wines reflective of Patrimonio’s unique terroir. The Patrimonio Rouge is 100% Niellucciu from vines averaging 25 years of age. All grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed, and both vinified and aged in large oak foudres. After aging for 12 to 18 months in foudres, the wine is bottled with minimal sulfites.
