This is not your typical Friulian white. The Cialla Bianco represents a masterful combination of Ribolla Gialla, Verduzzo and Picolit grapes which produces a complex wine with textural elements and savory characteristics that require aging. The wine presents itself as a structured wine with mineral notes that will evolve over time. The wine reveals dried apple and chamomile and beeswax notes and a strong salty core which develops complexity and depth as it ages.
Notes
This very local white is made from a blend of 60% Ribolla Gialla, 30% Verduzzo and 10% Picolit fermented in oak barrels. It offers a dainty and elegant bouquet with a fragrance of fruit (pear, apple and plum), vanilla and flowers (acacia and jasmine). The taste is dry, round and well-balanced as regards acidity; a wine that yields its aroma with extreme delicacy and elegance; unique character and personality. A fantastic fish wine! This is a stylistically challenging wine because it has a slightly oxidative character and some skin contact which gives it a darker color, be aware this isn't a simple white wine.
