Review Date: 11/2022A juicy and savory red with crushed berries, cherries and spices. Medium to full body. Chewy and medium tannins and a savory finish. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but better in a year or two.

Email AaronThere's always something you don't know, there's always wines you haven't tried, and this has the double duty of being a Chateau I didn't know in Bordeaux and thus one I also haven't tried. This is just really impeccable all the way through, there's everything that I want there to be on the nose, especially for something just a few years old. There's still a lot of fruit on the nose, which makes sense since this is 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, it's generous and pretty black and red fruit, blackberries and ripe cherries lead the way, with a little bit of very ripe raspberry in the background. There's lovely floral notes, subdued and in the very back, in front of that there's some barrel spice and a heavy dose of earthy promise. The palate is dense and rich, the fruit is very ripe and very lush, super generous and a great line of acidity through the whole palate, pushing forward the fruit and beating the tannin. The finish is long and has a bit of luxuriousness to it, and while this has had a few hours to open, they is incredibly drinkable for something this young. All it really wants is a decent decant to open up and to have it with something a little rich.
