We have a simply spectacular price on this beautiful, estate grown Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir from Ryan Beauregard. Sourced entirely from his renowned Coast Grade Vineyard in the coastal mountain town of Bonny Doon. The vines here are just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean, but at an elevation of 1,300ft keeping them mostly above the fogline. Just below the vineyard is a now defunct limestone quarry illustrating the bedrock that underpins this incredible vineyard site. Farmed lovingly by a multi-generational ranching family that have farmed their land in the Santa Cruz Mountains since 1945 and made wine since the 1970s. A brighter, more elegant style with juicy red fruits and savory forest floor aromas and woodsy spices. A house favorite at my place! Cheers!

Email AaronVery pretty in the glass, a translucent garnet that swirls out to a lighter pink on the edges. The nose is bright and lively, there is a lot of cranberry and squeezed pomegranate that give way to fresh and dried cherries. There's touches of earth and fir in the background, bringing that Santa Cruz Mountains connection in. The bright red fruit on the palate has a creaminess to it, along with an intense and compelling savoriness, with dense loam and soy giving way to barrel spice. This is some serious and intriguing Pinot Noir and well worth your attention, especially if you're looking for something smooth and soft while still delivering a good punch of flavor.
