Note: from Les Plateaux, Belle Croix, Les Fleurières, Les Crots and Les Chaillots. A markedly earthier nose reveals its aromas of both red and dark berries and a whiff of sauvage character. The sleek, delicious and vibrant medium-bodied flavors possess a beguiling mid-palate texture while exhibiting very good length on the youthfully austere but only mildly rustic finale. This should drink well young but age well too over the mid-term.

The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Village is aged in 25% new oak. There’s bright red berry fruit, light sous-bois and a hint of potpourri blossom on the well-defined nose. The palate is medium-bodied with powdery tannins. Modest depth, cohesive with a gradual crescendo on the finish; this is definitely a level up from the previous vintage.(NM)
