The 2022 Domaine de la Côte l'Ange begins with aromas of ripe blackberries, dark cherries and plums, intertwined with notes of dried herbs, leather, and a hint of smoky minerality. On the palate, it delivers a harmonious blend of dark fruit and savory spice, with well-integrated tannins that provide both structure and softness. The wine’s medium to full-bodied profile displays plenty of depth and is lifted by a vibrant acidity, adding freshness and balance. The finish is long and refined, with lingering flavors of black fruit and a touch of warm, earthy spice. While already showing impressive depth, this Châteauneuf-du-Pape will continue to develop over the next several years. (JD)

A vivid, textured and generous Châteauneuf-du-Pape showcasing aromas of dark berries, sweet cherries, cassis and grilled meat with peppercorn undertones. It’s full-bodied and precise with sinewy tannins and a succulent, dense and long finish.

Crafted from vines planted on calcareous soils with pebbles, the 2022 Chateauneuf du Pape from Domaine de la Cote de l'Ange, a blend of 65% Grenache Noir, 25% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah, exhales a floral, delicate and complex bouquet of peony, rose, dark cherries, fresh thyme and spices. Medium to full-bodied, enrobing and enveloping, it's layered and textured with polished, powdery tannins despite a structured, slightly firm finish enhanced by notes of chocolate and kirsch. Matured in equal parts concrete tanks and stainless steel, this is a real success that needs time to chill out. (YC)

Utterly classic notes of black cherries, Provençal garrigue, wild strawberries, and peppery notes all emerge from the 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape, a gorgeous 2022 based on 65% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre, and the rest Syrah. Medium to full-bodied and balanced, with good concentration, it's going to shine right out of the gate yet still have 12-15 years of overall longevity. It will be loved by the traditionalists out there.

The 2022 Cote de l'Ange is a sumptuous and revealing Chateauneuf. It opens with notes of kirsch, wild strawberries, fig jam and roasted earth. Full-bodied and silky the wine lingers on the palate. Showing the weight and ripeness of the 2022 vintage, this is no shy wine so enjoy it now with braised meaty dishes or some good aged cheeses. Definitely worth putting a few bottles away to watch this beauty evolve over the next 5 to 10 years.

A Chateauneuf-du-Pape for $29.99! 65% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre, and 10% Syrah, weighs in at 15.5% ABV and is as full-bodied as it seems. The youthful exuberance of the Grenache is tempered by the more mature and brooding Mourvèdre and Syrah, giving it an everything dark profile - dark red and black fruit, dark chocolate, dark cherry, dark strawberries, and dark plum. On the nose, gamey and savory with pepper, herbs, earth, and floral elements. On the palate, easy and seamless, deep and rich dark fruit, with notes of charcuterie, thyme, and chocolate. A little tart on the finish with crunchy tannins that will pair beautifully with heavier fare. You can pop this open now or it will continue to evolve for 12-15 years.
