"The Cascina Chicco 2016 Barolo Rocche di Castelletto draws upon fruit from Monforte d'Alba to present linear, tight and bold aromas. This Barolo opens to dark color saturation and a far-reaching bouquet. The aromas are divided into two categories, with dark fruit on one side and spicy oak on the other. With two years of barrel aging, the oak is a strong force in this wine, adding smoke, clove and tarry spice." (ML)
