Ronco Severo's Pinot Grigio Ramato is an elegant orange wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia, crafted from 100% Pinot Grigio grapes. The term "ramato" refers to the wine's coppery hue, achieved through extended skin contact during fermentation. The wine undergoes a month-long maceration in oak vats, followed by fermentation with indigenous yeasts and aging for 23 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. Bottled without fining or filtration, it retains its natural character. It offers aromas of dried apricot, orange zest, acacia flowers, and hints of nuts. On the palate, it is dry and full-bodied, with flavors of ripe stone fruits, subtle spice, and a pleasant bitterness, leading to a long, elegant finish.
