The 2023 Meursault Clos Richemont 1er Cru is a rich, dense wine. Strong tropical accents play off a core of tangerine peel, passion fruit, brioche and sweet spice. It’s a wine for readers who enjoy the more opulent side of Côte de Beaune whites. There is certainly no shortage of power, depth or structure here.(AG

(a monopole measuring .62 ha that is actually part of Les Cras). A cool, pure and airy nose features notes of various white orchard fruit, acacia, gardenia and a lovely spice nuance. There is outstanding density to the gorgeously textured medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract that also serves to buffer the firm acid spine supporting the balanced and harmonious finale. This is really quite classy and while it will need to develop better depth, that again should just be a matter of patience.
