Reviewed July 2024A flinty, seductive and minerally chardonnay with aromas of fresh Meyer lemons, beeswax and orange blossoms. The palate is full-bodied and textured, complemented by an underlying minerality and high-tension acidity. Notes of mandarins, limes, toasted hazelnuts and lanolin on a long and classy finish. Drink or hold.

Rich and mouthfilling with flavors of ripe pear, toast and a squeeze of lemon, this Chardonnay is framed by lightly-smokey oak spice and a balancing acidity that washes the mouth and carries the wine into a very long finish. (ECB)
Notes
One of my go-to Chardonnays from Napa. Old vine Chardonnay, some blocks dating back to 1975 (some of the oldest Chardonnay in Napa). Hendry is a beautiful, 4th generation, family estate on the boarder of Carneros and Oak Knoll at the base of Mt. Veeder. The wines are top quality and the values exceptional.
