A bright ruby hue, the 2022 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is refreshing and snappy with fruity, fresh red berry fruit, black raspberries, zesty, lifted spices, and wildflowers. It’s salty and snappy on the palate without sacrificing ripeness and is focused and medium-bodied. It’s a highlight of the appellation wines, with a bright feel in this vintage, to drink over the coming 6-8 years. The 2022s from Ross Cobb are some of the best wines from the vintage, especially those that are sourced from his estate vineyard holdings. The reds are tension-packed and structured, with textures reminiscent of elegantly styled Nebbiolo, and I highly encourage readers to check them out. (AF)
