Philippe thinks that the SO4 rootstock gives the richer mango style of the nose. This comes from a well-placed plot in lower Perrières near to the border with Puligny. There is an amplitude of fruit and a creamy texture, with some valuable mineral aspects right at the back. Good weight and length. Drink from 2027-2034. Tasted Oct 2024.

If you're looking for the greatest possible wine made from Meursault start with a wine from the Perrieres vineyard. easily the greatest site in all of Meursault the 2023 Domiane Pernot-Belicard Meursault 1er Cru Perrieres Dessus is an absolute rockstar. With complexity, length and density rarely seen in a wine this packed beauty has fruit, flint, saltiness and subtle hints of dried herbs in spades. The layers of flavors all unfold each one deeper and fuller than the last until the long, full finish lingers ever so lovingly for at least 45 seconds. A great tribute to the top vineyard site in all of Meursault.

Bill Nanson Burgundy Report: "Just 80 metres from their Champs Canet ‘but the soil is very different.’ Only Vincent Latour’s vines between them and the border with Puligny…A vertical nose that still has some breadth in the high tones. Wide but at the same time still with a more incisive intensity of flavour. Then a rolling wave of complexity over the tongue into the finish. That’s a properly great finish – what an excellent Perrières."(09/2024)
