Well I think it's safe to say objectives accomplished. The Pleiades Old Vine Red is a wine that almost defies description and comparison. It's just its own thing. It means many different things to many different people. My favorite way to at least try to characterize this wine is to say, remember when your were in a small osteria in Tuscany, or that little bistro in the south of France, and you had that great bottle of local wine? It was inexpensive, unpretentious, quaffable...just darn delicious although you likely had little idea what grapes went into it and exactly where it was from... That's what this wine has sought to achieve and accomplished so valiantly for so many years. No pretense, no luxury premiumization, just great table wine that consistently delivers quality and value. It compliments food and spurs on conversation. Enjoy!
