Honeysuckle, almond croissant, and crème brûlée notes pop from the glass of this 2022 White, followed by an undercurrent of apple sauce and ripe pears. The medium-bodied palate has an alluring phenolic grip with beautifully knit acidity lifting, the orchard fruit flavors to a long finish. (LPB)

Tasted a few weeks before its mid-August bottling, the 2022 White Cuvée combines 35% Chardonnay, 28% Roussanne, 21% Marsanne and 16% Viognier that spent 21 months in 50% new French barriques. The nose is simultaneously sappy, resinous and creamy, clearly dominated by its new oak élevage. The texture is pleasing and simply delicious, with an expectedly plush, full-bodied power that retains impressive focus. The finish echoes this linear precision, concluding on a rich but harmonious note. I look forward to revisiting this after some time in bottle to see if the oak integrates further. 93+ (ML)
