Black cherry, black plum, cranberry and baking spice open on the nose followed by hints of clove and strawberry. Chalky on the palate with a mineral undercurrent, the wine leans into black fruit and is complemented by firm tannins that afford added lift. This cabernet franc will flatter simple dishes but will elevate complex ones. (RS)
