This is a pretty impressive Sauvignon Blanc that ignores all the Sauvignon rules, preferring to be made like a Chardonnay. It was barrel fermented, left on the lees and went through full malolactic. The nose gives up intense notes of lemongrass, fresh ginger and toasted almond over a core of ripe apples, Bosc pears and nutmeg. Medium-bodied, the palate has fantastic freshness lifting the concentrated citrus and apple flavors to a long, satiny-textured finish. Built to age, I feel like it is holding something back at this youthful stage and so could warrant a higher score in the future. (LPB) 91+

The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc (all varietal) sports a very light gold color as well as a juicy, racy bouquet of grapefruit, Meyer lemons, and lime. It's medium-bodied, has some sappy, minty notes, good depth of fruit, and a clean finish.
