Tom's Town Distilling Co. is named after the country's most corrupt political boss, Tom Pendergast. Pendergast started as a saloon keeper and the founder of a wholesale liquor company. Under Tom watch, Kansas City successfully ignored prohibition and became known as "Paris of the Plains." Money, jazz, and spirits flowed without repercussion. Tom's excuse for not following the country down its dark path, "the people are thirsty!" The little distillery was founded in that ethos and continues to produce wonderful spirits from high quality ingredients in downtown Kansas City. Their Botanical gin uses 14 hand selected botanicals infused into the spirit through both vapor distillation and maceration to create a distinctive, botanical forward dry gin. Bottled at a perfect 90 proof, it shines in any classic preparation and might inspire some new ones too.
