A rare non-sparkling wine from BXT! The chance to work with some legendary fruit from Shake Ridge Ranch was too much to pass up for Tom. His deep connection with Ann Kramer who owns / farms this incredible site in Amador county has created something truly special in many ways. Not only is this wine absolutely stunning, it also supports a noble cause with profits being donated to Abode in Napa, CA - A project that provides emergency shelter and housing assistance to those in crisis. Winemaker's Notes: "We don’t always make wines without bubbles, but when we do, we are fortunate enough to work with the incredible Ann Kramer of Shake Ridge Ranch. Grown at approximately 1800 feet of elevation in granitic soils, the fruit was hand-picked on September the 18th and 80% of the fruit was de-stemmed with the additional whole cluster fruit layered into the fermentation tank. The wine was then drained and pressed to a single 80-gallon barrel and left to age on lees before being bottled in June of 2024 without fining, filtration and a small 20ppm addition of sulfur. Working with Ann at Shake Ridge is, as the name suggests, winemaking “Therapy”. There have been times when I needed some added motivation/inspiration in my winemaking journey and Ann has unknowingly provided that to me. In honor of her generous spirit, 100% of the profits from this wine will be donated to Abode Services in Napa to support their valuable work in operating emergency shelter to those in need."
