Hedonistas is a small batch mezcal made by Maestro Gerardo "Kain" Santiago Hernandez in Santiago Matatlan. This cultivated espadin grows locally for between 6-8 years old before being hand harvested and processed in the traditional method - roasted in earthen mounds, mashed with a stone wheel, and fermented in traditional open-air wooden vats. Tasting notes from the bottler, "Well balanced, with vegetal, brine, and honey notes on the nose. Tastes of white pepper, grapefruit peel and herbs, The mouthfeel is full. Perfect for sipping and cocktail friendly, especially in a Negroni, Margarita or Paloma. Serve in a Margarita and have with classic guacamole, chips and salsa."
