The winery of Finca la Emperatriz is a single estate property in the way that we think of with Bordeaux. It should be of no surprise seeing that the former owner of the property was none other than Eugénie de Montijo, wife of Napoleon III and last Empress of France, whom the property is named after. The El Jardin is the second wine of Finca la Emperatriz. The El Jardin Blanco is sourced from old vine Viura from the estate's vineyards. The wine is fermented in stainless-steel and then is aged in concrete tanks for two months with regular lees stirring. Crisp and refreshing with lots of citrus with an exotic twist and a hint of lingering minerality on the finish.
