With its debut in 2014, Michter's Limited Release US*1 Toasted Barrel is first aged in charred white oak barrels, then aged further in 18-month air-dried wood barrels that are toasted rather than charred. Tasting notes from the distiller: "Campfire and cinnamon, with pecan and candied fruit. Lingering finish of baked pears, vanilla, and marshmallow."
