I'll be honest, I'm mostly reviewing this because it's a little whacky and weird, and that's possibly not something Flavio Roddolo would appreciate, so I have to apologize in advance. Sorry, sir. Orazio told us today that this gentleman only bottles the wines when he decides they're ready and this is a current release. It's also kinda wonky, with an almost maderized nose with a lot of stewed fruit and a kind of fruitcake nuttiness. The palate however has fruit a degree fresher, with most of it being more of a dried character, there's still nuttiness in there kind but the fruit lifts up above it. We talked about it earlier and could only agree on a cheese and charcuterie plate, this wine could probably handle almost any cheese you could throw at it and would really work well with meat that just tastes like delicious acorns. Lots of that. And cheese. This would be absolutely great, a little weird, and a little wonky but delicious nonetheness.
