We’ve been proud to carry Matt’s wines for six vintages now, well before he earned the prestigious title of Winemaker of the Year in 2022. This Pinot Noir showcases the precision and skill that has propelled Matt to the forefront of the wine world. On the nose, the wine opens with an inviting bouquet of black cherry, black raspberry, and strawberry compote, complemented by subtle accents of wild thyme, a touch of earthy forest floor, and whiffs of vanilla and oak spice. The complexity of aromas speaks to its meticulous winemaking, with a harmonious balance of fruit and savory notes. There is both delicacy and power in this wine. Leaning just to the heavier side of medium-bodied, it delivers substantial concentration without losing its finesse. The bright, vibrant acidity cuts through the rich fruit, enlivening the palate with freshness and energy. The finish is long and refined, with extremely fine, delicate lingering tannins.. This Pinot Noir is superb, with the balance and structure to age beautifully, but it's also approachable in its youth.
