Grown in 70% limestone and 30% clay soils, this Sancerre boasts depth and complexity. The wine opens with a perfumed nose of Bosc pear, freshly peeled golden apple, nectarine skin and orange blossom. The palate is layered with additional flavors of marmalade and slivered almonds. (RS)

Hints of tropical richness and honey course alongside notes of apple, melon and subtle spices in this broad, intriguing white. An element of singed orange peel adds to the depth, while radish spice brings contrast to the snappy, focused finale. (KB, Web-2024)

Nicolas Millet has recently take over the winery from his parents and now oversees all the production. He even has a few new single parcel wines that are under his own name separate from this domaine wine. The winery is in the village of Bué, surrounded by some of the best terroir in Sancerre. The name Côtes Blanches refers to the white hills infused with chalky clay-limestone soil on which the vines are planted. This Sauvignon Blanc is filled with tense minerality and has a lip-smacking apple, melon, and orange peel profile. It is racy and delicious. It is one of the best of its kind on the shelf and still well below market price for comparable Sancerre.
