A. Overholt "Monongahela Mash" Straight Rye Whiskey revives the legacy of Abraham Overholt, who began distilling rye in Pennsylvania in 1810. Produced by Beam Suntory at the Jim Beam Distillery in Kentucky, this 2024 release honors the original Monongahela style with an 80% rye and 20% malted barley mash bill. Aged four years and non-chill filtered, it features rich, spicy, and floral notes. Though not made in Pennsylvania, it pays tribute to America's earliest rye traditions.
