This is one of the most charming and distinct red blends you will find from Campania, and a brilliant introduction to the historic Ocone estate. If you love the power of Aglianico but want something approachable enough for tonight's dinner, the "Bozzovich Nero" is your answer. A blend of Aglianico and Piedirosso (the grape responsible for the soft, aromatic wines of Vesuvius), this wine offers the best of both worlds. The Aglianico provides the structure and depth, while the Piedirosso adds a layer of softness, perfume, and drinkability that makes this wine incredibly versatile.

Notes

Founded in 1910 by Guiseppe Ocone, this small, family-owned winery is situated in the Campania region, just outside Naples. Their vineyards thrive on the rocky foothills of Mount Taburno. The winery began bottling its own wines early on, a bold move during a time when most Campania wineries sold bulk wine to the north.
