The 2021 Chardonnay Peter Martin Ray Vineyard is a stellar, crystalline example of this iconic site, aged in new and used barrique without bâtonnage and over-vintaged in stainless steel. Lush yet focused on the nose with a faint hint of tropical character, the palate balances forward concentration and creamy breadth with intense saline refreshment on the finish. This is already showing well but would further benefit from 2-3 years in the cellar and easily evolve for a decade beyond that. 93+
