A solid core of luscious fruit with blue fruits, graphite and lavender. So floral. Medium to full body. Very fine tannins that are polished and extremely long. Grows on the palate. So drinkable now.

The nose on this single-vineyard expression from a higher elevation vineyard in the middle of the appellation is dark, ripe, elegant and serious, showing strawberry, raspberry jam and violet aromas with a hint of cocoa. Powdery tannins frame the ripe flavors of black cherry, cola and freshly smashed currant on the palate. (MK)

Harvested September 30-October 4, the 2020 Pinot Noir Rita's Crown was matured in 51% new oak for 16 months. Medium ruby-purple in color, it has gregarious scents of wild berry preserves, mixed tea leaves, pepper and loads of floral perfume. The medium-bodied palate has a compact core of powerful fruit, grainy tannins and seamless acidity, and it finishes long and gently cedary. (EB)

A lush style, with an enticing wave of dark cherry and boysenberry fruit gliding through, liberally laced with anise and sweet toast. Stays defined though, with the fruit leading the way through the finish. This will have plenty of fans for sure. (JM)
