Established in 1997 by Gil Nickel of Far Niente, the winery focuses exclusively on varietal wines from single-vineyard designations. The intention here is to share the diversity of what Napa Valley has to offer, allowing each site to singularly express itself. The winery is also keeping their practices as healthy for the environment as possible: Solar power, net-zero users of electricity, annually producing more energy than is consumed, organically grown grapes, replacing conventional company cars with hybrid-engine vehicles, and extensive recycling.
