Pessac-Léognan is one of my favorite appellations in Bordeaux. These wines showcase distinctive notes of terracotta and minerality. This bottling from the famous Château Carbonnieux encapsulates that Pessac character at a stunning value, along with juicy red fruits and an earthy finish.

This is one of the better outstanding value 2022 reds we've tasted of late and it comes with a good deal of positive feedback from customers as well. It's made by Chateau Carbonnieux from declassified juice as well as from young vines. This delicious wine leads with pleasant aromas of bright red fruit, cassis and cedar followed by a juicy palate with mild ripe tannins and a vibrant, fresh finish. It's sure to please those looking for tremendous value red Bordeaux as well as first timers.
Notes
Composed of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from young vines of Château Tour Léognan and Merlot from Château Carbonnieu. The wine ages 9 months in French oak barrels to preserve fruitiness and a delightful sense of Graves terroir — a pleasing red for casual, easy enjoyment.
