The Rocca Family's Grigsby Vineyard sits right in the sweet spot of this renowned appellation with neighbors that include Kapcsandy, Nickel & Nickel, and Cliff Lede's Poetry Vineyard that lies just across Silverado Trail in the Stags Leap District. This Cabernet driven blend has lashings of ripe, plush dark fruit, dusty earth, hints of dried herbs, dark chocolate, exotic oak. Bold and powerful, but with soft, integrated tannins making it easy to drink. Entirely estate grown in the Rocca family's organically farmed Grigsby Vineyard in Yountville. The vines sit right on the boarder with Stags Leap District. Directly across the road lies Cliff Lede's iconic Poetry Vineyard. Just to the east is Kapcsandy's State Lane Estate. This is top quality dirt for growing powerful, ageworthy wines. The Vespera (meaning "evening") is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. It's designed to be expressive and versatile at the dinning table, possessing a nice balance of fruit, structure, and gravelly, volcanic minerality. Aged 22 months in 60% new French oak. Just 500cs total production.
