Decanter
A gorgeous Chardonnay from Hundred Suns that leans into the spice and saline character of the cool Willamette Valley growing conditions, sourced from Lone Feather (McMinnville) and Cole Road Vineyard (Eola-Amity Hills). This Chardonnay was whole-cluster pressed and then went to barrel with lees for 11 months. Cut Granny Smith apples, white pepper, and a streak of oyster shell salinity cuts through this wine. The palate continues with smoky grilled lemon, Fuji apple skin and a generous saline mineral finish. In the sub-$35 category, this much complexity is very difficult to come by, brilliant.

A bright silver /yellow hue, the 2022 Chardonnay Old Eight Cut is aromatic and layered in the glass. With notes of fresh pineapple, lemon curd, and delicate sweet spice. On the palate, it offers lively acidity, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with balanced ripeness, a plush feel underneath, and a lovely, clean finish. Drink it over the coming 6-8 years.

If you like a bright and complex Chardonnay, this one is for you! a bright and clean nose of citrus and green apple. On the palate, richer apple flavors, yellow and green, with lemon and lime. Light clean oak adds additional balance and elegance. Yum!
Notes
Sourced from two vineyards in McMinnville and Eola-Amity Hills (Cole Road and Lone Feather). Whole-cluster pressed to tank for native fermentation to commence, then transferred to predominantly neutral French oak barrels for 11 months on the lees before being bottled unfiltered.
