The 2021 Elevage Red is composed of 55% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot, and 3% Malbec. Deep garnet-purple in color, it gallops out with bold notes of blackberry preserves, chocolate-covered cherries, and stewed black plums plus nuances of spice cake, aniseed, and dusty soil. The medium to full-bodied palate provides lovely, bright, crunchy black fruits with firm, grainy tannins and an herbal lift on the finish. (LPB)
