His wines from Burgundy's Savigny-lès-Beaune appellation are known as great values, and both the reds and whites are equally strong. Giboulot's wines straddle the line between traditional and modern, with reds that have crunchier fruit and fine tannins, but plenty of ripeness and purity. The whites are done in a feminine style with rounder fruit and a certain elegance that lingers long on the palate. His domaine holdings outside of Savigny are some of the best in the region with eastern exposures that allow for full ripeness and plumpness of flavor."
