Review Date: 03/2024This reminds me almost of Puligny with its toasty edges, orchard fruit and considerable flare, combining the tension and skeletal edginess of the Sechets with the warmth of the Vaillons. The finish is a long, rocky road, stony, cool and precise. A formidable showing. Drinkable now, but best from 2027.

This exhibits a dramatic, forceful side of this premier cru: fascinating to compare with Raveneau's iteration from Chapelot/Pied d'Aloup. Ripe, rich stone fruit is balanced by notable acidity and a stony, mineral edge. Spice notes add an extra level of interest. Super-classy, with a very long future ahead. (AH)

Aromas of pear, Myer lemon, green apple, clam liquor and white flowers preface Dauvissat's 2022 Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre, a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny wine with a textural attack that segues into a bright, mineral mid-palate, concluding with a saline finish. (WK)

A much fuller yellow here, richer and softer, with some bacon fat: at first sight this could be clumsy but the palate delivers the acidity and energy, with a wealth of fruit and some roses. The 2022 Dauvissat Montée de Tonnerre should all come together. Drink from 2028-2038.
