We're thrilled to offer a truly unique sherry aged proposition here. A bodega cask from Jose Y Miguel in Jerez De La Frontiera offers so much more intensity than your typical sherry seasoned casks. This is a cask that was actually used in the sherry making process in a solera for years and years before being sold off as opposed to a new cask that was just filled with sherry for a short time of seasoning. Add to that the fact it's a fino cask and you've got a very rare proposition for single malt aging indeed. The whisky was fully matured in this exceptional cask - filled on 6/11/17. The end result is something shockingly dark for a fino cask, the fruits of 6+ years of aging rather than a quick finishing. It has the bright briny character and fresh almonds you'd expect from fino and a wild array of fresh herbs and warm rising dough. Add the fruity nature of the C&C Malt and rich cereal notes and we have a tremendous entry to the growing pantheon of exceptional American Single Malts. 60.5% ABV.
