The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis La Riotte 1er Cru was completely de-stemmed this year. This possesses wonderful mineralité and tension on the nose, quite flinty and stony, translating the terroir with style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grip, a citrus bead of acidity, modest depth but with a very appealing, peppery finish thanks partly to the 30% whole bunch. Excellent. (NM)

Bright raspberry fruit scented with salty mineral notes and a hint of smoke. The texture is fresh and lively, and although the parcel ripened early in 2020, the balance is spot on here. This 0.3ha parcel is in the centre of the village at the foot of the slope, opposite the Clos St-Denis. It lies directly under the combe and does not suffer too much from water stress. (CC)
